The arch is considered one the strongest elements in architecture because of its ability to distribute the weight of the structure outward. That is why the arch bridges and aqueducts built by Ancient Romans are still standing today. By performing repetitive movements–meant to transform my body into an arch–I seek to explore the relationship of the body to architecture. These movements became my own attempt to distribute the weight–emotional or otherwise–outward.
This film was created using a Fisher Price PXL 2000 which was then transferred to digital and composed.
